NIGHTCLUB PLAYING CARDS
When the client asked me to design a new playing card deck inspired to nightclub culture i tried to include all the iconic elements that are part of the collective disco imagery, the past and the modern one.
That’s why among the 56 cards you can find disco balls and vinyls but also trap singers and electronic djs. A melting pot of club-goer of different age and personality.

COURT CARDS
The Kings are the bouncer, the club boss, the trap singer, the gangsta.
The Queens are the pole dancer, the dj, the drag queen, the fancy girl.
The Jacks are the dj, the stripper, the hipster photographer, the millennial.

JOKERS
The bartenders are two iconic figures which can never be missing in a bar, club or disco. They are many times a source of entertainment with their acrobatics.
That's why i choose them for the joker cards.

BACK DESIGN
The most tricky point of every playing card project is the back design. It has to be a full of details balanced in a complex symmetric structure.
In this case i used all the icons and elements from the other cards to create a kaleidoscope. As the project target are mostly magicians, this design take into consideration some the tricks they use to make, like spinning the card on one finger or showing the backs as a folding fan.
